The half marathon runs on a Japan Association of Athletics Federations certified course that is largely flat, and it is the centrepiece of a day that also includes 5km and 2km races. Every race starts and finishes at the Ibara Sports Park athletics stadium. After the run, participants are served the event's signature handmade curry rice. Guest runner Kayoko Fukushi joins the day, and the half also doubles as the Okayama Prefecture Half Marathon Championship.

Only if you want to run in a JAAF registered division. Those entrants must record their 2026 JAAF registration details in their RUNNET member profile before entering, and anyone whose application is still pending must update it by 31 December 2026.
