The 33rd Sakaide Tengu Marathon starts and finishes at Hayashida Sports Park in Sakaide City, Kagawa Prefecture, on a course that takes in the scenery of the Seto Inland Sea. Two distances are on offer, a 15 km race for runners aged 18 and over and a 5 km race open to elementary school children and above, with an adult required to run alongside any child entrant. Race morning begins with registration and number collection from 08:00 and an opening ceremony at 09:00, the 15 km sets off at 10:00 and the 5 km at 10:20, and participation prizes are handed out until midday. Every finisher is welcomed back with a bowl of Tengu Udon, a Sakaide speciality soup built on ten ingredients including the town's own Kintoki sweet potato and Kintoki carrot.

Other questions
Children of elementary school age and above may enter the 5 km, but a parent or guardian must run alongside them. The accompanying adult has to enter the 5 km race separately, and you are asked for that adult's name when you submit the entry.
Bag storage is available at the venue, but valuables cannot be left there, so keep wallets, phones and documents with you during the race.
The event listing does not describe a transfer, refund or deferral scheme. If your plans change, contact the organiser through the official event site as early as possible.
The 5 km is open to elementary school children, who run alongside a parent, so it suits families and newer runners. The 15 km gives more experienced runners a longer outing through the Seto Inland Sea scenery.
