The longest Minirun distance at 1.6 km is for the U12, U14 and U16 categories, year classes 2012 to 2017. Start times run from 16:10 for the U12 girls through to 18:15 for the U14 and U16 boys.

Interlaken is served by Interlaken Ost and Interlaken West railway stations, both within walking distance of the town centre where the Minirun is held.

Friday 10 September 2027: the Minirun opens the Jungfrau Marathon weekend with a first start at 16:10 and a last start at 18:15, all on the closed streets of Interlaken town centre.

Before you enter

Minimum ageThe Minirun is open to children and young people across several categories, from MuKI/VaKi and U06 up to U12, U14 and U16. Entry is decided by year of birth: year classes 2022 and younger for the 200 m, 2020 and 2021 for the 400 m (U7 and U8), 2018 and 2019 for the 1 km (U10), and 2012 to 2017 for the 1.6 km. A separate 200 m pararace is offered for people with a disability.

Yes. More than 5,000 spectators line the closed town centre streets and create a great atmosphere for the young runners.

The short distances of 200 m to 1 km suit very young children and first-time starters. The event is built around the joy of movement and the experience rather than results.
