The half marathon is the first race away, starting at 08:40 with a 2 hour 30 minute time limit and checkpoints along the course. Traffic restrictions on the roads are released at 11:10, so anyone still out on the course at that point has to stop.

No. This event has no athlete check-in. Athlete bibs, timing chips and participation gifts are posted to entrants by early December, so runners simply turn up on the day ready to race.
Yes, entries can be transferred through RUNNET's Yuzureru service. The transfer entry window runs from 26 July 2026 to 9 October 2026, and the service opens after the entry deadline or once the field is full.
Entry fees are not refunded for personal reasons, including withdrawal or illness.
Entries for the pair run are made in the name of the adult who will run, who must be 18 or over on race day. One guardian can run with up to three elementary school children of the same school year, and the pair must hold hands when crossing the finish line. Children in the second and third pair may be the same age as the first.
There is a baggage storage area for bags and clothing, but valuables are not accepted. Valuables can be left in the changing room inside Shinshu Kaika Stadium or kept with you.
