The Eerie Erie is a Halloween themed 5K and 10K that sends runners through historic downtown Erie, Colorado, before joining the trail system that weaves along the Coal Creek open space areas. The 10K adds a stretch past scenic Pleasant Hill Cemetery, where the panoramic views open up and the friendly local spirits wait to greet the year's runners. Race morning begins with on-site registration from 7:30am and packet pickup until 9:15am, with the 10K starting at 9:30am and the 5K at 9:50am. The event is the primary fundraiser for the Optimist Club of Erie, a non-profit that funds youth events, programs and activities in the community, and it is an official BOLDERBoulder qualifier.
