A 21.0975 km road race through the Iga Ueno castle town with a time limit of 2 hours 20 minutes. Entries are split by gender and age: men from high school age to 29, then the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60 and over, and women from high school age to 39, then the 40s and 50 and over. Awards go to the top three in each division, and the same age divisions are used for the quarter marathon and the 5 km. Intermediate gates close at 6.3 km (50 minutes), 12.5 km (1 hour 40 minutes) and 17.8 km (2 hours).

No. This race does not hold an athlete reception. Your number card, timing chip and the other items are posted to you about two weeks before the event, so please check that they arrive in time.
Yes. RUNNET's Yuzureru entry transfer service is available. The listed transfer window is 3 July 2026 to 13 September 2026, and transfers open after the entry deadline or once the race reaches capacity.
Yes. There is a roughly 2.7 km family jogging division for elementary and junior high school students running with a parent or guardian. Entries are made in the name of the parent or guardian who is running, and each group can have up to three people. Children in the third grade of elementary school or below must take part with a parent or guardian.
Groups of four or more cannot be handled through the entry system. Please apply directly to the Iga Ueno City Marathon Organising Committee secretariat.
The first 20 families can request a free Iga-style ninja costume. Apply by phone, fax or email to the Iga Ueno City Marathon Organising Committee secretariat at Iga City Hall, giving your name, address, phone number and the costume size.
