The course starts near Petawawa Road and Dieppe Street in Chilliwack and rolls straight onto the Vedder Rotary Trail, alternating fast gravel stretches with winding single-track. Runners follow the river through the Vedder valley, with water views and mountain backdrops opening up along the way, before the route turns back toward the start and finish area. Race day brings three distances onto the same trail network, with the 21K setting off first, the 10K following, and a kids 1K closing out the morning. The atmosphere leans community-minded, with familiar local trail and a friendly field sharing the paths.

Other questions
Contact Peaks and Valleys Event Co through their website at peaksnvalleys.ca and ask whether a waitlist, transfer or deferral arrangement is available for this edition. Places can also open up when other runners withdraw, so it is worth checking the Race Roster page again closer to race day.
Chilliwack sits at the eastern end of the Fraser Valley on Highway 1, roughly a 90 minute to two hour drive from Vancouver depending on traffic, and is also served by regional bus services. If you are coming from out of town, staying the Friday night in Chilliwack or nearby Sardis keeps race morning simple.
The route blends fast, groomed gravel with narrower winding single-track. Road shoes are comfortable on the gravel, while a light trail shoe with a little grip tends to be the safer all-round pick once the single-track gets twisty or damp.
The 21K goes off at 08:30, the 10K at 09:00 and the kids 1K at 09:15. Arriving around 45 to 60 minutes before your start leaves time for parking, collecting your bib and a proper warm-up without rushing.
Late October in the Fraser Valley can bring rain, and the gravel and single-track surfaces respond by getting softer and greasier. Dress for the conditions, expect some mud on the trail sections, and check the organiser's website or social channels on race morning for any updates to the schedule.
