The 20 km de Genève starts and finishes on Quai du Mont-Blanc, sending runners out along Geneva's lakefront and through the international district before a stretch through the surrounding countryside brings them back to the same lakeside boulevard. The 20K and 10K races can be run solo or as a two-person relay, and the same day opens up to walkers and Nordic walkers over the 10K distance. A full afternoon of junior racing follows, from 2 km races for school children down to a 500 m parent and child dash. The whole programme runs on closed city streets on a single Sunday in early November.

Yes. The 10K is offered as a separate walking category and as a Nordic walking category, both starting at 12:20, so you can take the same distance at a walking pace or with poles.
Yes, the route runs through the city centre and along the lakefront, so there are plenty of places to cheer from. Because the roads are closed and the courses are loops, spectators can usually see runners more than once without moving far.
Entry transfers, refunds and deferrals are handled by the organiser under the terms set out at registration, and any deadlines or fees are confirmed in the event conditions. Contact the organiser directly as early as you can if your plans change.
The start is in central Geneva, so hotels around the lakefront, the old town and the station district put you within walking distance of the event. Geneva is easy to reach by train and by air, with the airport only a short ride from the city centre.
