Other questions
A vertical race is a short and very steep uphill race in the mountains. Distance matters little; the climb is the whole point. Athletes run or walk on trail and usually start in small groups at timed intervals.
The route is a steep mountain trail, so trail running shoes with reliable grip are recommended. No mandatory kit has been published for this edition, so it is worth confirming with the organisers close to race day.
Yes. Because the climb is short, spectators can watch the group starts from the village and then move along the route or wait for runners to arrive at the top.
Rules on name changes and entry transfers are set by the organisers. They are not published on the race page, so requests should go directly to Asd Ultra or Asd Team Sky Friuli.
