Terrain

Paved riverside path on the Mukogawa riverbed. Almost entirely flat with little shade, so expect the sun and wind to be felt along the exposed riverbank.

Route

Laps of the Mukogawa riverbed course starting and finishing below Takarazuka City Hall. Runners pass a checkpoint at the 30km point, which must be reached within 3 hours 50 minutes, before completing the final lap back to the finish.

Race Day

Race day is Tuesday 3 November 2026 (a public holiday). Registration opens at 08:00 at the Mukogawa riverbed below Takarazuka City Hall and runs until 30 minutes before each start. The 35km goes off at 09:00, the 5km at 09:05 and the 20km at 09:10. The opening ceremony time is undecided.

Finisher certificateYes. A record certificate is issued, and finishing records plus lap splits are published on the web the day after the race. Live finish announcements cover the top seven places.

PrizesThe 35km recognises the top seven men and top seven women. The 20km and 5km recognise the top three men and top three women.

ParkingThe event is based on the Mukogawa riverbed below Takarazuka City Hall, and the race information does not list parking arrangements. Runners are encouraged to plan around public transport.

First aid on courseNurses provide first aid treatment and an AED is available. The organiser also holds marathon insurance.

Before you enter

Time limitThe 35km has a 4 hour 30 minute limit with a checkpoint at 30km that must be passed within 3 hours 50 minutes. The 20km allows 4 hours 20 minutes with a 15km checkpoint at 3 hours 40 minutes. The 5km limit is 1 hour.
