The race starts and finishes in Almyros central square on roads closed to traffic, heading out of town towards the Zerelia twin meteoric lakes. The course climbs from 55 m to 205 m, turns back shortly after the lakes, and sends runners around two counterclockwise loops of roughly 900 m inside the lake area before the run home to the square. Electronic chip timing records the day, with an additional checkpoint at the 10 km turnaround and a lap-count checkpoint in the lake area. Six aid stations and an individual feed bag keep runners fuelled, a doctor, ambulance and 4x4 support vehicles follow the field, and the morning closes with trophies for the overall and age-category winners.

The 10 euro entry fee is paid by bank transfer to Alpha Bank within three days of registering. Entries that remain unpaid after that window are cancelled. A 3 euro surcharge applies to transfers made from other banks, and participants based in Almyros or Volos may pay in cash at a location that will be announced.
A checkpoint inside the lake area records how many loops each runner completes. A 10 minute penalty is applied for an incorrect number of loops, so it pays to keep count of the two counterclockwise laps.
Only a GPS watch and a mobile phone are permitted. Runners may carry their own nutrition if they prefer not to rely on the aid stations. External or motorized assistance of any kind leads to disqualification.
A guarded personal-items check is available at Almyros central square for the duration of the event.
