The Wappenweg-Fuchs-Ultralauf is a 58 km trail ultra that starts and finishes in Ennepetal in the Bergisches Land region of Germany. Runners cover a hilly loop of roughly 1,450 m of climbing that mixes forest trail, asphalt lanes and at least one stream crossing, following the line of the former Schnadegang boundary walk around the town. The event is deliberately small, with the field limited to 40 runners and a 10 hour time limit on the course. It is a winter ultra in the classic DUV calendar sense: quiet paths, a low entry fee and a self-reliant day out.

The route is a genuine mix. Runners meet forest trails and asphalt lanes as well as at least one stream crossing, and the profile is hilly throughout, with around 1,450 m of climbing over the 58 km.
No official kit list is published. For a December ultra of this length, most runners would plan on waterproof layers, spare warm clothing, enough food and drink for the sections between any support points, and a phone. Confirm the current requirements with the organiser before the event.
Ennepetal sits in the Bergisches Land between Hagen and Wuppertal and is reachable by regional train, with the nearest large airports at Düsseldorf and Cologne. By road the town is close to the A1 motorway.
The event page does not set out a weather policy. A mid-December ultra in this part of Germany can mean rain, mud, ice or snow, so check the organiser's updates in the days before the race and come prepared for cold, wet conditions.
